No closer in sight.
STAF's soft-close hinge builds the closing mechanism into the hinge itself.
It slows the door just before it shuts and draws it fully closed, without
adding hardware around the door.
- The hinge is all you see. Overhead arm-type closers and frame-mounted
dampers add visible parts around the door. With the mechanism inside the
hinge, the only hardware on show is the hinge itself. The lines of the door
and frame stay clean, and it mounts to openings without a door frame, so it
can serve tall, floor-to-ceiling doors.
- A different sound when it shuts. Push the door hard and it still slows
near the jamb, then draws quietly to a full close. Removing that slam
matters in hospitals, care facilities, hotels and offices, as well as
in the home.
- Designed by a mechanical component manufacturer. Founded in 1991, STAF
develops antennas and high-performance hinges. Drawing on our expertise in
spring design and torque control, we propose designs matched to door weight,
dimensions, opening angle and mounting conditions.
